One of my best ways to destress and have fun is doing Korean skincare. Even after the busiest days, there's always time to do my simple but effective routine before bed. I’ve also tried a plentiful amount of products, and I started this series to review them to help you pick out the best things!
This first episode will be centered around moisturizer, where I will review the Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream.
When I first got the BOJ moisturizer, I was blown away. My skin felt extremely dry and needed something to make it feel better. The BOJ moisturizer is perfectly suited for dry skin, and it feels so nourishing whenever I apply it. The Dynasty Cream is also made with ingredients that are amazing for your skin, such as rice bran water, ginseng water, squalane, and niacinamide. I did take note that it had a very thick consistency, and probably wouldn’t suit oily skin very well. Ensure to use it in small amounts so that it isn’t too overpowering! In the winter months when I had dry skin, it almost immediately made it feel better, and I found myself waking up with a glowing complexion. I would recommend purchasing this product if you have dry/combination skin. Using it twice a day would be best, with a small amount in the morning but maybe a bit more in the evening. In the morning, you should apply it right before your sunscreen, and it can be your last step in your nighttime skincare routine. Overall, I do recommend this moisturizer for people with dry skin looking for something to strengthen their skin barrier.
Happy Skincare-ing!
