On December 5th, 2025, Explore Asian Culture held an informational booth at the annual Howard Philips Center Holiday Fest! The Howard Phillips Center is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to giving pediatric healthcare and support to all citizens of Central Florida. Every year, they host a holiday festival where families can spend time with their children and celebrate the holiday season. Explore Asian Culture was honored to hold a booth for such a special event!

At the event, Explore Asian Culture had a spinning wheel with over 20 different Asian countries on it, such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and more! Many of the participants didn’t know what these countries were, so EAC stepped in to raise awareness and racial understanding of Asian culture. Whenever a child spun the wheel and landed in a country, we would tell them an interesting fun fact about that country. After that, we would give them 1 of 50 origami goodie bags that EAC prepared beforehand. With instructions linked on our website, participants were able to take a little bit of Asian culture home with them by completing origami designs and shapes. Hopefully, they can become inspired by what they learned about at our booth and find their own voice to talk about Asian culture!

Explore Asian Culture had such a fun time sharing Asian awareness to a group of people who weren’t as familiar with it. Whether we hooked their attention by using K-pop Demon Hunters or ramen, all families were fascinated by our booth’s activities!
Thank you for reading, and we hope to see you at our next event!
